“July 10, 1978

SHAM 69 were to fly to the USA for a few dates in New York City and a gig in Philadelphia, however, immigration authorities have refused an entry visa for lead singer Jimmy Pursey. He’s had a criminal offense in the last twelve months and that’s grounds for refusal. Remember? Pursey was charged with causing a disturbance and resisting arrest last September when they played on the rooftop of the Vortex.”
